Christmas in February

"I gave my daughter new eye glasses — it was her Christmas present."

"Christmas present in Feb.?" you query.

"Yes, I ordered them before Christmas, but it took that long for them to come in.  Meanwhile, daughter is gluing and regluing broken frames; waiting, waiting, waiting.  They were a long time coming—a long, long, time."

"Why did it take so long?"

"Well, she wanted a very special pair—like 'Malcolm X', she said.  Simon of UltraViolet in Lethbridge ordered them for us. … they are …designer frames …in a brown case …in a brown box …with a brown cleaning cloth and …in the case ... is a very small envelope …with the most highly designed card:  gold ink it was—gold ink on brown

... do you want to see the box and glasses? do you want to find out what designer it was? Do you, do you, do you?  I'm waiting for someone to click the link

                                      show me ... the glasses!
