Spring: Ode to Twitter Technology and nature intertwine in this multimedia collage. Bird-like tree branches flow in one direction and as is the case with most Southern Alberta trees, it leans. Three Twitter-inspired bird icons hang from the branches. Motivated by the wiring of the Burmis Tree, a metal cylinder, an old laser printer part, forms a shortened fourth branch of the tree where a small owl is perched. |
| The piece features a co-polymer male robin sculpture and an artist-created bird’s nest housing three eggs and two baby robins with their broken shells. There is no mom. |
