You moved through our days, Alex,
like a quiet code blue reversed:
urgency turned to calm,
fear met with presence.

Now the bell rings, not in alarm,
but in tribute.

I hear a chime
for every life you steadied,
for every breath that you helped return.

You moved through the world
not to be seen,
but to see—
you notice the bent,
the bruised,
the nearly forgotten.

Your hands carried balm;
You offered
the rarest gift—time—
without measure.

You taught us that hope
is not a banner waved,
but a quiet tending
with a gaze that says,
“I see you. I stay.”

The wind carries your name
like a hymn with no end.

Those who breathed in your gentleness,
exhale it forward,
redolent with your grace.

Your light travels, Alex.
It is not dimmed by distance;
it is refracted in new waters.

What you gave in quiet rooms—
in the midnight vigils,
in the whispered reassurances,
with hands that steadied breath.

The messages now echo here.
Here where the cedars lean in to listen
and the tides carry your name
like a bell across the bay.
